The "Guts" and the "Glory"

May 4- Three months and 1 day after breaking ground and we've got the "guts" of the house going in.  Nothing exciting enough to post a picture about, but it is progress!  We went out May 1 and it looked like they were finishing electrical and just getting started on heating and cooling.

We spent most of Friday afternoon at the house and I had more than a few moments of dreaming what it would be like to finally live there.  Daryl was bush hogging, the kids were outside playing, and I was cleaning house.  I'd say even a year from now when we're finally there not much will change from that Friday night!  There was a whole thread on Garden Web about "cleaning" your house while it's being built.  I didn't comment but will say on here that I really can't help myself.  1.  It just looks so much better without all those wood shavings all over the floor and 2.  Why pay someone else to clean-up when you can do it yourself?

On the to-do list in the coming days is:

1. Finalize tile
2. Narrow down paint choices
3. Get a quote for built-ins
